After your journey to Havana, we will be waiting to escort you to our casa particular in La Habana Vieja (shuttle included).   After you get settled we will give you a brief orientation of the city.  We will have lunch (included) and a walking tour to orient you with the city and to learn historical and cultural information to understand Habana a bit more.  We will enjoy a homemade dinner at our casa (included) then wander out to explore the life of Habana for a little music, cocktails too.

2
DAY TWO: FRIDAY, April 24th - EXPLORE HAVANA
Morning yoga followed by breakfast (included).  With our local guide, we will enjoy a classic car tour seeing a variety of neighborhoods including Vedado, Miramar, Havana Forest, and El Mirador del Cristo de la Bahia.  A fun day for photos but remember the sunscreen! After lunch (included) we will stop at a local artist/organization to learn more about the emerging private sector. In the evening, we will head out to Vedado for a delicious dinner at La Fabrica (included)  and stick around for music and dancing. *You can stay as late as you like! We will arrange a taxi home for you if you want to leave sooner than the group.

DAY THREE: SATURDAY, April 25th - HEAD TO THE VALLEY
By private shuttle, we will head to Vinales after a morning yoga session and breakfast. The valley is a breathtaking place with mogotes (limestone hills) and vibrant natural colors and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since November 1999 for the outstanding karst landscape and traditional agriculture as well as vernacular architecture, crafts, and music.     11:30: am Delicious family-style lunch on a gorgeous organic farm on a hill overlooking Viñales Valley. After enjoying a wonderful meal we will have time to tour and appreciate the grounds as we learn about sustainable food production in Cuba (included)     1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Light hike or horseback ride throughout Viñales Valley to learn about flora and fauna with a visit to tobacco/coffee farmer’s home. This is a great opportunity to try and purchase cigars, snap a photo and sip on a delicious local beverage canchanchara! We highly recommend waiting to buy cigars here as you will be directly supporting individual farmers and putting more money into their pockets unlike buying boxed and branded cigars from the government-run shops. You tour leaders will explain the tobacco industry in greater detail on your trip as well as the overall way in which the Cuban economy works in order to deepen your appreciation of the work that goes into creating products and experiences for tourists and the way in which your visit to the country and have a positive impact on the lives of individuals.     3:30 pm: Salsa lesson in Viñales!     5:00 pm: Arrive at our casas particulares in Viñales and have downtime for rest and shower.     7:00 pm: Optional group dinner in town (not included) and the option to enjoy the outdoor street party they have every Saturday. On this day they block off the main streets to cars and there is live music, dancing, street food vendors and an overall fun communal vibe - perfect for immersing yourself in the local culture!
